Cookin’ With Gas

During my time at The Groundlings, I was tasked with creating a new poster for one of their all improv shows, called Cookin’ with Gas. In fact, this was the first poster I was assigned to. I was given a general idea as to what the Main Company was looking for- namely, a Bigfoot- and worked to create something that condensed both their idea and my creative interpretation of it. I knew from the beginning that I wanted to set the poster in the woods surrounded by snow-powdered mountains. As the idea developed, I wanted to add a sort of mid-century twist to it- hence, the retro camper in the background. And, finally, as a fun homage to the title of the show, I added Bigfoot, himself, cooking with gas. Literally.
